Dear Mr. Surendra Kumar,
Please accept my greetings and prayers for your well-being. I am in due receipt of your notes via to myself and guruji your messenger today, and have noted the contents carefully.
I have already written you a letter dated 30th Sept., ’76, giving many details of Srila Prabhupada’s cooking requirements. Our representative Mahaksha das is also in Aligarh and has the same list. This is very important, as Srila Prabhupada’s health is not the best, and we must be very careful!
Yes, the two cars is alright, and arrangement for 8 persons. 2 of the persons are ladies, and therefore isolated quarters are necessary. The cars may come here 8th evening, and the drivers may stay here overnight, and we will leave 4.30 a.m. 9th morning. Then arrive at your place about 7.00 am for Arti and Guru Puja, and Prabhupada may speak a few words.
Breakfast is better at 8.00 am, and lunch 1.30 pm. Otherwise the program is fine.
The last program in Aligarh with you, there was a large busload of devotees. I think you also arranged for their stay and prasad. So as I have written you, we will be total (incl. Prabhupada’s entourage) about 25 heads. Apart from your two carloads, we will bring one small bus. Please confirm immediately if this is alright. I think you agree it would not be befitting if Prabhupada arrived with only half-dozen devotees. So please kindly confirm this is alright (25 persons). At least 20 are a must.
Any other doubts may be cleared up with our representative, Mahaksha das.
Please drop me a note or cable of confirmation. I hope this meets you well, and looking forward to a nice program with you,
I am,
Yours in the service of the Lord,
