From the Personal Secretary
Dear Bhagavaccitta dasi,
Please accept my greetings. Your husband, Devendranath das, has come to Mayapur and requested Srila Prabhupada to act on his behalf in repairing your marriage split. Although His Divine Grace generally does not want to concern himself with the family affairs (so that he may be spared to translate Srimad Bhagavatam) he patiently heard how you were now living in Maui and not willing to return to your husband.
When Srila Prabhupada heard of Devendranath’s serious plans to go to Vrindaban and work with the head pujari there, Turyadas, and that you were an accomplished seamstress, he said this would be very good. Why can’t she return to her husband? he asked. Srila Prabhupada said that since you are both initiated devotees in Krsna Consciousness, there can be no question of divorce. Whatever differences you have you should fix up, and you join him again, and try to raise your family in Krsna Consciousness, worshiping the deity, taking prasadam, living in the association of devotees and abiding by the orders of the spiritual master. Since I am presently serving as Srila Prabhupada’s personal GBC secretary, he personally asked me to write the above advice on his behalf.
The best thing then is to go to the Hawaii ISKCON temple and Devendranath will join you there shortly and make steps for going to Vrindaban.
Sincerely yours,
Satsvarupa das Goswami
Secretary for His Divine Grace

My dear Dvarakesa,
Please accept my humble blessings. I beg to thank you for your letter dated 22nd February, 1977, and I have noted the contents with great interest.
Your letter is very encouraging. The statement of the Hungarian devotee Egyedi Peter shows that there is good hope in the Communist countries for spreading Krishna Consciousness. A sincere person like him I am always ready to accept. He is desiring the devotees’ association, so can we have a center there? If he can start a center we can help.
I have seen the new Hungarian book and I thank you very much. It is very nice. You are a very good boy. Please go on translating all my books into Russian and Hungarian and I shall be very much obliged.
I hope this meets you well.
Your ever well-wisher,
