My dear Hamsadutta Maharaja,
Please accept my most humble obeisances at your feet. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated April 25th, 1977.
Please accept my most humble obeisances at your feet. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated April 25th, 1977.
I read your letter to Srila Prabhupada, and His Divine Grace was most understanding of your problem. Srila Prabhupada has asked that Gopal Krsna Prabhu immediately send you your books. Prabhupada even said, “If he can’t pay his bill, then I shall pay.” Of course I know that you would not allow Srila Prabhupada to have to pay your bill, but this indicates how merciful His Divine Grace is. Gopal Krsna Prabhu has just arrived back in Bombay and I mentioned to him that he should now send the books to you and he has agreed to do this. Gopal did say that by government law, since the books are being sent out of India, he must receive payment within three months for them, according to the law.
I certainly hope that your preaching develops nicely in Ceylon, and I am certain that Srila Prabhupada would be very eager to receive word often how the preaching develops there.
Hoping this meets you well.
Your servant,
