vyāsa uvāca iti sampraśna-saṁhṛṣṭo viprāṇāṁ raumaharṣaṇiḥ pratipūjya vacas teṣāṁ pravaktum upacakrame

Synonyms

vyāsaḥ uvācathus; itiperfect enquiries; sampraśnaperfectly satisfied; saṁhṛṣṭaḥof the sages there; viprāṇāmThe son of Romasharsana namely Ugrashraba. Pratipujya—after thanking them; raumaharṣaṇiḥwords; pratipūjyatheir; vacaḥto reply them; teṣāmattempted.

Translation

Thus the son of Romaharsan of the name Ugrashrava, after being satisfied fully on the perfect questionaires of the Brahmins there, he attempted to reply them one by one and thanked them for their words.

Purport

The sages of the Naimisharanya asked from Suta Goswami six questions. And he is answering them one by one.
