अष्टाशीतिसहस्राणि मुनयो ये धृतव्रताः अन्वशिक्षन्व्रतं तस्य कौमारब्रह्मचारिणः

aṣṭāśīti-sahasrāṇi munayo ye dhṛta-vratāḥ anvaśikṣan vrataṁ tasya kaumāra-brahmacāriṇaḥ

Synonyms

Translation

Vibhu remained a brahmacārī and never married throughout his life. From him, eighty-eight thousand other saintly persons took lessons on self-control, austerity and similar behavior.
