Chapter 9: Answers by Citing the Lord's Version

तथापि नाथमानस्य नाथ नाथय नाथितम् परावरे यथा रूपे जानीयां ते त्वरूपिणः

tathāpi nātha-mānasya nātha nāthaya nāthitam parāvare yathā rūpe jānīyāṁ te tv arūpiṇaḥ

Synonyms

tathā apiin spite of that; nātha-mānasyaof the one who is asking for; nāthaof the Lord; nāthayaplease award; nāthitamas it is desired; parāvarein the matter of mundane and transcendental; yathāas it is; rūpein the form; jānīyāmmay it be known; teYour; tubut; arūpiṇaḥone who is formless..

Translation

In spite of that, my Lord, I am praying to You, kindly to fulfill my desire. May I please be informed how, in spite of Your transcendental form, You assume the mundane form, although You have no such form at all.
