ṛṣayo manavo devā manu-putrā mahaujasaḥ kalāḥ sarve harer eva sa-prajāpatayaḥ smṛtāḥ

Synonyms

ṛṣayaḥall the sages; manavaḥall the Manus; devāḥall the demigods; manu-putrāḥall the decendants of manu; mahā-ojasaḥvery powerful; kalāḥportion of the plenary portion; sarveall collectively; hareḥof the Lord; evacertainly; sa-prajāpatayaḥalong with Prajapati; smṛtāḥare known.

Translation

All the Rishis, manus, demigods decendants of manu, who are specially powerful are plenary portions or portion of the plenary portion of the Lord. This includes all the Prajapatis also.

Purport

Those who are comparatively less powerful are called Bibhuti and those who are comparatively more powerful are called Avesh incarnations.
