Chapter 22: The Descendants of Ajamīḍha

जनमेजयस्त्वां विदित्वा तक्षकान्निधनं गतम् सर्पान्वै सर्पयागाग्नौ स होष्यति रुषान्वितः

janamejayas tvāṁ viditvā takṣakān nidhanaṁ gatam sarpān vai sarpa-yāgāgnau sa hoṣyati ruṣānvitaḥ

Synonyms

Translation

Because of your death by the Takṣaka snake, your son Janamejaya will be very angry and will perform a sacrifice to kill all the snakes in the world.
