na pibanti stanaṁ vatsā na duhyanti ca mātaraḥ rudanty aśru-mukhā gāvo na hṛṣyanty ṛṣabhā vraje
Synonyms
na—does not Pivanti—suck; pibanti—breast; stanam—the calf; vatsāḥ—does not; na—allow milking; duhyanti—also; ca—the cow; mātaraḥ—crying; rudanti—with tearing face; aśru-mukhāḥ—the cow; gāvaḥ—does not; na—take pleasure; hṛṣyanti—the bulls; ṛṣabhāḥ—in the Pasturing ground.
Translation
The calves do not suck the milk bag of the cow nor the cow does allow milking. They are standing crying with tears on the face and the bulls do not take pleasure in the pasturing ground.
