manya etair mahotpātair nūnaṁ bhagavataḥ padaiḥ ananya-puruṣa-śrībhir hīnā bhūr hata-saubhagā
Synonyms
manye—you may take it for granted; etaiḥ—by all these; mahā—great; utpātaiḥ—upsurges. Nunam—for want of; nūnam—of the Personality of Godhead; bhagavataḥ—the marks on the footpalm; padaiḥ—extraordinary; ananya—of the Supreme Personality; puruṣa—by the auspicious signs; śrībhiḥ—unpossesssed; hīnā—the earth; bhūḥ—without any fortune.
Translation
I think that all these earthly disturbances preclude some greater loss in the matter of the good fortune of the world. The world was fortunate to have been imprinted with the auspicious marks of the Lotus Feet of the Lord and it indicates that there is no more such opportunities.
