गन्धर्वमुख्यौ जगतुर्विश्वावसुपरावसू देवदुन्दुभयो नेदुर्नर्तक्यो ननृतुर्मुदा

gandharva-mukhyau jagatur viśvāvasu-parāvasū deva-dundubhayo nedur nartakyo nanṛtur mudā

Synonyms

gandharva-mukhyauthe two chiefs of the Gandharvas; jagatuḥbegan to sing nice songs; viśvāvasunamed Viśvāvasu; parāvasūnamed Parāvasu; deva-dundubhayaḥthe kettledrums beaten by the demigods; neduḥmade their sound; nartakyaḥthe dancers known as Apsarās; nanṛtuḥbegan to dance; mudāin great happiness..

Translation

Viśvāvasu and Parāvasu, the two chiefs of the Gandharvas, sang in great happiness. The kettledrums of the demigods sounded, and the Apsarās danced in jubilation.
