Chapter 11: King Indra Annihilates the Demons

न वयं मन्यमानानामात्मानं तत्र साधनम् गिरो वः साधुशोच्यानां गृह्णीमो मर्मताडनाः

na vayaṁ manyamānānām ātmānaṁ tatra sādhanam giro vaḥ sādhu-śocyānāṁ gṛhṇīmo marma-tāḍanāḥ

Translation

You demigods think that your own selves are the cause of your attaining fame and victory. Because of your ignorance, saintly persons feel sorry for you. Therefore, although your words afflict the heart, we do not accept them.
