Chapter 7: The Son of Drona Punished

iti priyāṁ valgu-vicitra-jalpaiḥ sa sāntvayitvācyuta-mitra-sūtaḥ anvādravad daṁśita ugra-dhanvā kapi-dhvajo guru-putraṁ rathena

Synonyms

itithus; priyāmunte the dear, balgu—sweet; valguvariegated Jalpaih—by statements; vicitraArjun who is guided by the Infallible Lord as friend and driver. Anwadravat—followed; jalpaiḥbeing protected by Kavach; saḥequipped with furious weapons; sāntvayitvāthe son of the martial teacher; acyuta-mitra-sūtaḥgetting on the chariot.

Translation

Arjuna who is guided by the Infallible Lord as friend and driver, thus satisfying his dear with sweet words of different description dressed himself with protecting as well as furious weapons and began to follow Answatthama the son of his martial teacher, getting on the chariot.
