Purport
The injunction to fast on Ekādaśī is especially meant for devotees; on Ekādaśī there are no restrictions regarding foodstuffs that may be offered to the Lord. Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu took the foodstuffs of Lord Viṣṇu in His ecstasy as viṣṇu-tattva.
