Purport

It is said that the Saptatāla tree is a very old, massive palm tree. There was once a fight between Bāli and his brother Sugrīva, and Lord Rāmacandra took the side of Sugrīva and killed Bāli, keeping Himself behind this celebrated tree. When Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu toured south India, He embraced this tree, which was delivered and directly promoted to Vaikuṇṭha.
