যদ্যপি জগদ্গুরু তুমি—শাস্ত্রজ্ঞানবান্পৃথিবীতে নাহি পণ্ডিত তোমার সমান ঈশ্বরের কৃপালেশ নাহিক তোমাতে অতএব ঈশ্বরতত্ত্ব না পার জানিতে

यद्यपि जगद्गुरु तुमि—शास्त्रज्ञानवान्पृथिवीते नाहि पण्डित तोमार समान ईश्वरेर कृपालेश नाहिक तोमाते अतएव ईश्वरतत्त्व ना पार जानिते

yadyapi jagad-guru tumi—śāstra-jñānavān pṛthivīte nāhi paṇḍita tomāra samāna īśvarera kṛpā-leśa nāhika tomāte ataeva īśvara-tattva nā pāra jānite

Translation

Gopīnātha Ācārya then addressed Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya: "You are a great scholar and a teacher of many disciples. Indeed, there is no other scholar like you on earth. Nonetheless, because you are bereft of even a pinch of the Lord's mercy, you cannot understand Him, even though He is present in your home.
