সন্ধ্যাতে চলিবে প্রভু,—নৃপতি শুনিল হস্তীউপর তাম্বুগৃহে স্ত্রীগণে চডাইল

सन्ध्याते चलिबे प्रभु,—नृपति शुनिल हस्तीउपर ताम्बुगृहे स्त्रीगणे चडाइल

sandhyāte calibe prabhu,—nṛpati śunila hastī-upara tāmbu-gṛhe strī-gaṇe caḍāila

Synonyms

sandhyātein the evening; calibe prabhuthe Lord will start; nṛpati śunilathe King heard; hastī-uparaupon the backs of elephants; tāmbu-gṛhein tents; strī-gaṇeall the ladies; caḍāilamade get up..

Translation

When the King heard that the Lord was leaving that evening, he immediately made arrangements for some elephants with small tents on their backs to be brought there. Then all the ladies of the palace got on the elephants.
