উপবনোদ্যান দেখিঽ বৃন্দাবনজ্ঞান তাহাঙ্যাইঽ নাচে, গায, ক্ষণে মূর্চ্ছা যাঽন

उपवनोद्यान देखिऽ वृन्दावनज्ञान ताहाङ्याइऽ नाचे, गाय, क्षणे मूर्च्छा याऽन

upavanodyāna dekhi' vṛndāvana-jñāna tāhāṅ yāi' nāce, gāya, kṣaṇe mūrcchā yā'na

Synonyms

upavana-udyānasmall parks; dekhi'seeing; vṛndāvana-jñānatook them to be the forests of Vṛndāvana; tāhāṅthere; yāi'going; nācedances; gāyasings; kṣaṇein a moment; mūrcchāunconsciousness; yā'nagoes..

Translation

Sometimes Caitanya Mahāprabhu mistook the small parks of the city for Vṛndāvana. Sometimes He would go there, dance and chant and sometimes fall unconscious in spiritual ecstasy.
