মৃগমদ নীলোত্পল, মিলনে যে পরিমল, যেই হরে তার গর্বমান হেন কৃষ্ণঅংগগন্ধ, যার নাহি সে সম্বন্ধ, সেই নাসা ভস্ত্রার সমান

मृगमद नीलोत्पल, मिलने ये परिमल, येइ हरे तार गर्वमान हेन कृष्णअंगगन्ध, यार नाहि से सम्बन्ध, सेइ नासा भस्त्रार समान

mṛga-mada nīlotpala, milane ye parimala, yei hare tāra garva-māna hena kṛṣṇa-aṅga-gandha, yāra nāhi se sambandha, sei nāsā bhastrāra samāna

Translation

"One's nostrils are no better than the bellows of a blacksmith if he has not smelled the fragrance of Kṛṣṇa's body, which is like the aroma of musk combined with that of the bluish lotus flower. Indeed, such combinations are actually defeated by the aroma of Kṛṣṇa's body.
