ঽবিপ্রগৃহেঽ স্থূলভিক্ষা, কাহাঙ্মাধুকরী শুষ্ক রুটীচানা চিবায ভোগ পরিহরিঽ

ऽविप्रगृहेऽ स्थूलभिक्षा, काहाङ्माधुकरी शुष्क रुटीचाना चिवाय भोग परिहरिऽ

'vipra-gṛhe' sthūla-bhikṣā, kāhāṅ mādhu-karī śuṣka ruṭī-cānā civāya bhoga parihari'

vipra-gṛhein the house of a brāhmaṇa; sthūla-bhikṣāfull meals; kāhāṅsometimes; mādhu-karībegging little by little like honeybees; śuṣkadry; ruṭībread; cānāchick-peas; civāyachew; bhoga parihari'giving up all kinds of material enjoyment..

Translation

"Śrīla Rūpa and Sanātana Gosvāmī beg a little food from the houses of brāhmaṇas. Giving up all kinds of material enjoyment, they only take some dry bread and fried chick-peas.
