অর্থো ঽযং ব্রহ্মসূত্রাণাং ভারতার্থবিনির্ণযঃ গাযত্রীভাষ্যরূপো ঽসৌ বেদার্থপরিবৃংহিতঃ পুরাণানাং সামরূপঃ সাক্ষাদ্ভগবতোদিতঃ দ্বাদশস্কন্ধযুক্তো ঽযং শতবিচ্ছেদসংযুতঃ গ্রন্থো ঽষ্টাদশসাহস্রঃ শ্রীমদ্ভাগবতাভিধঃ

अर्थो ऽयं ब्रह्मसूत्राणां भारतार्थविनिर्णयः गायत्रीभाष्यरूपो ऽसौ वेदार्थपरिबृंहितः पुराणानां सामरूपः साक्षाद्भगवतोदितः द्वादशस्कन्धयुक्तो ऽयं शतविच्छेदसंयुतः ग्रन्थो ऽष्टादशसाहस्रः श्रीमद्भागवताभिधः

artho 'yaṁ brahma-sūtrāṇāṁ bhāratārtha-vinirṇayaḥ gāyatrī-bhāṣya-rūpo 'sau vedārtha-paribṛṁhitaḥ purāṇānāṁ sāma-rūpaḥ sākṣād-bhagavatoditaḥ dvādaśa-skandha-yukto 'yaṁ śata-viccheda-saṁyutaḥ grantho 'ṣṭādaśa-sāhasraḥ śrīmad-bhāgavatābhidhaḥ

Translation

" 'The meaning of the Vedānta-sūtra is present in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. The full purport of the Mahābhārata is also there. The commentary of the Brahma-gāyatrī is also there and fully expanded with all Vedic knowledge. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is the supreme Purāṇa, and it was compiled by the Supreme Personality of Godhead in His incarnation as Vyāsadeva. There are twelve cantos, 335 chapters and eighteen thousand verses.'
